Mortenn Christiansen (DK)

Reigning World Champion of Comedy Magic from FISM 2022 in Quebec. Not only are Mortenn’s humour and technical skill at a level of their own, he’s also got a twisted brain brimming with original ideas. Mortenn will be performing at the close-up galla show and the stage galla show, where you get to experience his coveted FISM act (that you will only ever see live!), now taking him around the world. Enjoy watching a true champion in action.

Rune Klan (DK)

One of Denmark’s most beloved entertainers whose countless theatre tours and TV shows have touched on some of life’s most challenging questions, mixed with playful creativity, comedy, and clever magic. Rune will be hosting the galla show, ensuring the ideal atmosphere for a magical Saturday night.

Miika Pelkonen (FI)

Repeated winner of the Finnish championships, first place in Card Magic at Euro FISM 2011, and much more. Miika will showcase his charismatic card magic at the close-up galla show, and he also shares unique insights in a special Sunday workshop, a golden opportunity for any card lover guaranteed to leave attendants with new inspiration – and a little homework.

Adrian Videla (SE)

Grand Prix winner at last year’s Nordic Championships in Close-Up Magic. Adrian’s background in circus and theatre will shine through in the close-up galla show where he invites you into his personal and poetic world of miracles that hit hard on many levels, intellectually and emotionally. Prepare for something different and powerful.

Nellie & SOlberg (DK)

As many may remember, Peter Larsen is known from TV for his roles as Fru Erna Iversen and waiter Frandsen. In the role of Nelly Nissen, he plays the part of Joachim Solberg’s “lovely” assistant.
And let’s just say it right away – it’s a bit of an uphill battle for the magician Joachim Solberg.

Volantes (DK)

From the stunning troupe Volantes, Mads Panik and Jonathan Bendtsen are going to blow your socks off with their take on the modern circus. Movement, music, and humour are the main elements when their bodies whip up a storm of dance and acrobatics, probably leaving the audience more out of breath than Mads and Jonathan. They’ve performed their world-class artistry on national television, at Cirque du Soleil, and much more. You don’t want to miss this.

Daniel Rose (ZAF)

Worldclass multi-talented artist! Daniel Rose finds his self-expression in countless fields. Not only a marvellous magician, on stage and up close, he also plays the guitar (in a way you’ve never seen before). Now, he travels the world with his gorgeous juggling act “The Starcatcher.” Daniel originates from South Africa but came to Denmark in 2013 and now lives in Copenhagen.

Klaus Mulbjerg (DK)

Creative mind and master of words. Klaus Mulbjerg packs 20 years of experience as a magician and is known for his fast-paced presentation that oozes intelligence and charm. For decades, Klaus has also been the main consultant for Rune Klan and Jan Hellesøe, in fact, every single one of their shows, live as well as on TV. To top it off, he’s a painter with an impressive style and clarity – all in all, a creator on the very highest level.

Christina Nyman (SE)

How to judge a magic competition
Christina Nyman from Sweden is one of the most influential figures in the European magic community. As an officially trained FISM judge, she possesses special insights into magic competitions at a serious, international level. And she’s coming all the way to Hvidovre from her resident Luxembourg, not only to be a judge for the Nordic Championships but also make sure that the other seasoned judges can do their very best.
Before the Championships, Christina will give a course for all the judges and share her deep knowledge of that very important task, judging a magic act fairly and correctly. The FISM organisation takes judging very seriously, and Christinas preparatory seminar will ensure that the Nordic Championships has the best possible panel.
The course is obviously mandatory for the judges – but also open to anyone who’s curious about how one actually evaluates magic. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about a very special, normally inaccessible part of our magical world.
The course takes place at 9.30 am. on Saturday November 9th at Cirkusmuseet, the location of the competitions and the rest of the convention.

Anders Lilleøre (DK)

One of Denmark’s busiest magicians, always on the road with his irresistible smile and brutal chops. Anders is a feisty young man who charms his audience with quick wits and friendly banter, before taking everyone with their pants down in crazy moments no one ever expected. Now you can see Anders’s comedy magic in action as your host for the Close-Up Gala Show.

Nicolai Christensen (DK)

Head judge of the Nordic Championships of Magic 2024. Nicolaj is a dedicated student of the art of magic who daily applies his deep knowledge as a creator, performer, teacher, author, and consultant – and often as a judge in Danish magic competitions. This young but meticulous man was the perfect choice for the task of ensuring that this year’s championships are judged wisely and fairly.

The event takes place at Cirkusmuseet in Hvidovre, DK, one of Europe’s largest museums of artefacts related to the circus and all kinds of artistry. This place is truly magical, a small village oozing history and creative spirit from every nook and cranny. The perfect environment to not only compete for the title of Nordic Champion but also collaborate with friends, old and new, during the one-day convention.

Attendees traveling from near and far can stay at Scandic Hvidovre, an affordable hotel close by Cirkusmuseet. This way, you can stay up late and enjoy the full value of the convention by watching the late-night Galla Show and perhaps jamming with your fellow magi. Visit scandichotels.dk to book your room.
